Nursery Delivery Driver and Technician
DEPARTMENT: Nursery
REPORTS TO: Nursery Manager
WHERE: Rana Creek Nursery 7495 Williams Ranch Road, Carmel CA, 93923
Duties and Responsibilities
Deliveries and picking up plant material
Plant maintenance including propagation, pruning, and weeding, irrigating, and light pest control
Other duties are required as necessary or as directed by the Nursery Manager
Qualifications
Applicant must possess a valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
Must have past horticulture experience
Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Prior experience with pesticide handling required
Experience with a variety of hand and mechanized tools required
Experience driving a tractor preferred
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to work in inclement conditions
Ability to identify pests and pathogens preferred
Basic Greenhouse maintenance experience (irrigation installation and maintenance, basic hoop house set-up and maintenance) strongly preferred
Experience in plant identification preferred
Customer Service experience desired
Job Type: Full-time position
Compensation
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
