Design Associate
We are currently seeking a Design Associate to join us in our Carmel studio. Candidates should have at least three years of professional experience in landscape architecture, architecture, or related design fields. Dual degree holders in landscape architecture and another field are encouraged to apply.
The Design Associate assists with producing high quality design documentation throughout all phases of the design process. Duties will include research; graphic production; landscape design documentation; preparation of client presentations; and site inspections. The Design Associate should have a strong design sense, with an interest in sustainable and ecological design and familiarity with common landscape construction practices and California plant material. Must be able to perform work duties of a broad scope, holistic nature, and with considerable independence.

Experience
3-6 years in landscape architecture or related design field
Graduate or undergraduate degree in landscape architecture or related field
Responsibilities
Preparation of design documentation drawings
Preparation of presentation graphics including renderings, diagrams, and sketches
Planting design
Design of water reuse and irrigation systems
Site inspection, inventory, and analysis
Work directly with clients and other consultants

AutoCAD
Adobe Creative Suite
3D Modeling (Sketchup, Rhino)
MS Office
Hand Sketching
Additional desirable experience: Lumion, ArcMap/ArcGIS
